One Seriously Injured after Car Crashes at High Speed into Noodle Shop in Chiang Mai

The driver was uninjured and is detained for further questioning.

When: December 19th, 2020

Where: Chiang Mai city

Perpetrators: Unnamed driver, uninjured

Victims: Mr. Fat, shop owner

What: A car crashed into Champ’s Noodle Shop in front of the Standard Tour Company on Chang Khlan Road in Chiang Mai city in the early morning hours of December 19th, 2020. The owner of the shop, Mr. Fat, was seriously injured in the crash.

A black Honda City sedan registered in Chiang Mai was found demolished in front of the shop. Rescuers found a bloody scene. They gave first aid to Mr. Fat, the shop owner, who was seriously injured and had a broken leg. He was taken to Maharaj Nakhon hospital in Chiang Mai.

The driver of the Honda City sedan was uninjured. He has been detained for further investigation.

My take: Throw the book at this guy if drinking was involved. The noodle shop owner was just out there trying to make an honest baht – and now has to deal with severe injuries because somebody couldn’t handle themselves behind the wheel.
