This is the second Facebook argument gun death in as many days.
When: January 2nd, 2021
Where: Samphran district, Nakhon Pathom province
Perpetrators: Mr. Samphan, 39
Victims: Mr. Wan Lu, 35
What: Nakhon Pathom police received a report at 3:20 AM on January 2nd, 2021, of gunfire at a village in Samphran district, Nakhon Pathom province.
Officers found the body of Mr. Wan Lu, 35, on his back and in a pool of his own blood with two 9mm gunshot wounds in his chest. Two 9mm shells, one black firearm holster, 1 pair of yellow slippers, 4 snacks, and a cloth mask in the road near the body. They were collected as evidence.
According to investigators, the victim lived in the village where the shooting took place. He went out late at night to buy snacks at a convenience store. After shopping, he walked back home. At the entrance of the village, there were other men riding motorbikes. They cursed and challenged the victim before a fight broke out. The victim was shot and the gunman fled on the motorbike.
The incident was caught on CCTV. Officers recognized the perpetrator as Mr. Samphan, 39, a resident of Samut Sakhon province. Both the victim and gunman were challenging each other on Facebook earlier.
A warrant is being sought from the court.

My take: This is the second case this week of a gun death after a fight on Facebook.
