Mr. Chayanont confessed that he had sexual desires for adolescent school boys.
On March 3rd, 2021, police in Bangkok worked together with the Anti Child Sexual Abuse Online division to arrest Mr. Chayanon, alias Tee, 28 years old, in the Bang Khen district of Bangkok.
The arrest comes after a 14 year old victim from a school in Samut Prakan province notified police that he had chatted with the suspect on Facebook. He thought the profile was a beautiful woman and the perpetrator persuaded the young victim to get on video calls for sex chats many times.
Later on, the victim wanted to end the relationship and block contact. The suspect sent threatening messages to the victim saying they would publish the videos and share them with friends and family. Mr. Chayanon had recorded the 14 year old masturbating on video and said he would share the clips.
The victim became depressed and his family, social, and school life suffered as a result.
Mr. Chayanont confessed that he had sexual desires for adolescent school boys. He often set up fake Facebook and other social media profiles of beautiful women to chat with young boys and entice them into relationships. Some of the boys agreed to relationships.
Mr. Chayanont never showed his face, but was able to persuade the young boys to masturbate on film in exchange of showing himself, or who he pretended to be — a beautiful woman. He would record the boys and use the video as blackmail to intimidate his victims.
Mr. Chayanont is charged with coercing children into obscene behavior, possessing child pornography, and intimidation of young children.
