The victim’s daughter has gone to the media after one month of inaction by the police — the suspect still on the loose and enjoying with his other lover.
On March 21st, 2021, a 21 year old woman, Ms. Joy (alias), went to the 24 hour media center in Nakhon Si Thammarat to inform the press about the assault on her mother. The victim is identified as Mrs. Wan (alias), 39 years old.
Mrs. Wan met with a construction contractor, Mr. Ek (alias), 65 years old, at a hotel room on February 21st, 2021. The victim thought she was meeting Mr. Ek alone, as the two had been seeing each other.
Mr. Ek had another woman he had been living with, Mrs. Kae (alias), who joined Mr. Ek to the hotel room along with Mrs. Kae’s son, daughter, and son-in-law. The group brutally attacked Mrs. Wan when she arrived to the room.
According to the report, Mr. Ek survived the melee and escaped. The report is unclear how involved he was with the attack, but he did set up the meeting that resulted in the beating.
The assault involved Mrs. Kae and the others taking Mrs. Wan’s clothes off and beating her with a broomstick. They then took the broomstick and stabbed Mr.s Wan’s genitals with it, causing serious injuries and eventually infection. Mrs. Kae recorded the assault and posted it on social media.
Mrs. Wan’s personal belongings — including a phone, watch, and jewelry — were damaged in the beating, too. Mrs. Wan was taken to the hospital with a fractured skull, internal organ damage, and torn genitals. Doctors informed Ms. Joy that her mother had a serious infection from her injuries.
Ms. Joy told the press that one month had passed with no progress in the case. Mrs. Kae, her family, and Mr. Ek were still free and on the loose living like normal.
On March 23rd, 2021, at 8:30PM, the victim Mrs. Wan was pronounced dead from her injuries after a month long struggle in the ICU.
The autopsy revealed that Mrs. Wan sustained injuries to her internal organs and genitals that eventually resulted in her death.
The latest report on the case indicates that the case is still under investigation. As of the publication of this report, there have been no arrests.

My take: It’s fair to assume innocence until proven guilty — but in this case, it seems like there is a clear culprit.
Mrs. Kae posted the photos and video of the beating on social media. Let’s start there with an arrest.
Why hasn’t even that happened yet?
