Fake Crystal Meth Leads to Dealer Getting Assaulted in Bangkok

The buyers dragged the dealer into the truck before police arrived.

On the evening of February 17th, 2021, police responded to an assault in the Nawamin subdistrict of Bangkok. One man was found to have been assaulted by four other men.

Officers found a package of white crystals that resembled ice, or crystal meth. The ice was tested negative for being real meth.

The investigation revealed the man who was assaulted tried to sell the drugs to the four others, who quickly discovered the fraud after inspecting the drugs. The dealer was then dragged into the vehicle of the buyers and that’s when police arrived.

The four assailants were brought to Lat Phrao police station for further investigation and charges. The article isn’t fully clear what happened to the dealer.

My take: What was the dealer thinking? Handing those “crystals” over to four people and expecting not to get a beat down?

It reminds me back in my school days when some guys sold oregano as marijuana to dupes who knew no better. When they were asked later how the smoke was, they’d say “yeah, that shit was great!”
