Victims: Convenience store
What: Two masked gunmen stuck up a convenience store early in the morning on Monday, December 7th, 2020. They got away with 3,600 baht in cash. The gunmen went into the store and forced the employee to open the cash register and stuffed all the money they could into a bag. The caper took 1.5 minutes in total.
Officers are inspecting the scene for evidence along with CCTV cameras. The shopkeeper thankfully took off his gold necklace as he’s afraid of the bad economy causing driving people to loot.

My take: Well, there you have it, folks. A shopowner in Thailand said that the bad economy is driving up crime – specifically of this nature, which isn’t a good sign. Armed robberies can often go bad quickly if one side escalates. This time, it was just a bit of money. Next time? It could be somebody’s life.
