This isn’t the first time the perpetrator has killed.
When: December 25th, 2020
Where: Kuiburi district, Prachuap Khiri Khan province
Perpetrators: Mr. Thanakrit, 37; Mr. Thanomsak, 44
Victims: Mr. Thanasit Yoo Mook, 36; Mr. Pruchong Saengsai, 36
What: At midnight on December 25th, 2020, police in Prachuap Khiri Khan received a report of gunfire at Ban yen Food Garden in the Kuiburi district.
Investigators at the scene found 21 shells of a 9mm and two puddles of blood. The two victims were Mr. Pruchong Saengsai, 36, the head of disaster prevention at the Sam Roi Yot subdistrict, who was shot 6 times in the head and body. And the second victim was Mr. Thanasit Yoo Mook, 36, a firefighter at Kui Buri subdistrict.
Witnesses saw the two victims seated with a group of friends, who were eating and drinking together. The perpetrator, Mr. Thanakrit, had an argument with the victim Mr. Pruchong. He left and came back with the gun, fired over 20 rounds, and fled.
Investigators reported that the perpetrator and victim were friends. But they had arguments over the past month. They dined at the restaurant to see if they could make amends.
The perpetrator, Mr. Thanakrit, is described as a shrimp farm owner and successful businessman. Eight years ago he was prosecuted for shooting down a band manager and dancer in the area.
The other suspect, Mr. Thanomsak, is an accomplice in the murder after driving Mr. Thanakrit away from the murder scene.
According to new reports, Mr. Thanakrit has surrendered to authorities.

My take: A few curious details from the report.
The fact that the perpetrator was a shrimp farm owner, as the shrimp industry has been devastated after the COVID19 discovery at a shrimp farm.
Also, this isn’t the first time Mr. Thanakrit killed somebody. He was prosecuted 8 years ago for another murder and yet he’s out there doing it again, this time taking two victims.
I wonder how long they’ll put him away this time? Or will he be out on the streets as a successful businessman sooner than later?
