What: A porridge (ข้าวต้ม) shop in Sisaket was the scene of a deadly stabbing in the early morning hours of December 16th, 2020. The victim, Mr. Printhon, 18, had traveled to the porridge shop with 6 of his friends to eat after a night out before going home.

CCTV footage shows that Mr. Printhon parked his motorbike at the shop and was confronted by a man who’s described as being 25-30 years old. The suspect approached Mr. Printhon and slapped him. Mr. Printhon asked why he was slapped. The perpetrator then pulled out a knife and stabbed Mr. Printhon in the chest and fled the scene. Mr. Printhon collapsed from the stab wound.

My take: An unfortunate escalation between two young men. The kid was sticking up for his friend – and then got stuck for the last time. Our condolences to the family for losing their young son.
