He drove over the girl’s head to make it look like a car accident.
On March 1st, 2021, an arrest has been made in the death of a 15 year old girl in Songhkla. The suspect, Mr. Prathom Eid Khao, 49 years old, is accused of kidnapping and murdering the girl on February 27th.
Investigators used DNA evidence found under the nails of the deceased victim that matched the accused. CCTV footage along the route to the scene of the crime also identified the suspect’s Toyota Corolla. It took investigators 26 hours to find and arrest Mr. Prathom in the case.
Once arrested, Mr. Prathom confessed to the murder of the 15 year old. He said that he hit the girl on her motorbike and she fell into a ditch. He stopped the car and went to attack the victim, punching her in the stomach and raping her.
He stole her bag and ran over her head 2 or 3 times until he knew she was dead. He wanted to make it look like a car accident where she just fell into the ditch and died.
Mr. Prathom cleaned up a steel blunt object he used to hit the victim, washing its blood stains away.
Mr. Prathom had previous charges in 2002 of kidnapping a minor under the age of 15 in order to commit indecent acts.
Over 200 local residents, including the victim’s family and friends, gathered at the police station to watch Mr. Prathom being detained and brought into the station. The scene became chaotic as the locals and family tried to break through the police line to attack Mr. Prathom, but he was eventually escorted safely into a police vehicle.
Mr. Anan Chantula, father of the deceased, said he wants the suspect executed or imprisoned for life. He says if he did this once, he’ll be likely to do it again — which is cruel to society and future victims.
Mr. Prathom is charged with rape and murder and using a vehicle in order to facilitate the commission of an offense.

My take: I agree 100% with the father here. The man has done horrible things to kids twice — don’t let him have a chacne to do it again.
