I guess that’s one way to get your money back.
When: January 20th, 2021
Where: Hati Yai district, Songkhla province
Perpetrators: Mr. Thawatchai Ruangrit, 41
Victims: Mr. Thanongsak Boonya Udomsat, deceased; Mr. Preecha Kanpan, injured; Mrs. Sutjai Inthamano, injured
What: On January 20th, 2021, police in the Hat Yai district of Songkhla province responded to shots fired at a residence where a small group of friends had gathered to drink.
They found one man, Mr. Thanongsak Boonya Udomsat, 41, dead from a single bullet wound to the head. Mr. Preecha Kanpan, chairman of the Khlong Hae Municipality Council; and Mrs. Sutjai Inthamano were both taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds to the leg.
Later in the evening, Mr. Thawatchai Ruangrit, 41, a land broker in Hat Yai, surrendered himself at the Hat Yai police station. He brought the 11 mm caliber gun that he used in the attack, which still had one bullet in the magazine.
Mr. Thawatchai targeted Mr. Thanongsak because he was owed millions of baht by the victim. When Mr. Thawatchai would ask about the money, there would be a fight. He explained that he rode his motorbike by the home where the group was drinking. He parked and wai’d them, as he was familiar with the group. He saw Mr. Thanongsak sitting and he pulled out his 11 mm and fired 3 shots. One struck Mr. Thanongsak in the head, a fatal wound, and one round each hit the two other victims in the leg.
Mr. Thawatchai was detained for murder at the police station.

My take: I hate to say it, but this is the worst way to get your money back. There’s no way in hell that Mr. Thawatchai is gonna see the millions of baht that was owed to him by the man he gunned down.
And don’t you find it odd how smiley he is in the photos from the police station? What’s with that?
